The Institute of Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IFF) at the University of Stuttgart conducts research on adaptive, self-learning processes and system approaches in biointelligent production, as well as bioeconomic strategies, such as the use of bio-based materials and energy-efficient production methods, in order to establish sustainable value chains for the industry of the future.
A particular focus lies on life cycle analysis, modeling, and theory of complex biotechnological production processes and value creation systems.
